The Institution of the Lord's Supper
The Lord's supper is a special meal or feast that was instituted by Jesus Christ to be celebrated by His disciples in the rememberance of His death, burial and resurrection - Matthew 26:26 - 30.
Apostolic Example
In 1 Corinthians 11:23-30, the apostle, Paul received this same commandment to observe it and pass it on to all the Christians.
In Acts 2: 42, the apostles and disciples observed this feast - breaking of bread.
In Acts 20:7, we are told that Paul and some of the disciples celebrated this Lord's supper with the brethren in Troas on the first day of the week.

Here we understand that the Lord's supper is to be celebrated on Sunday being the first day of the week. This also, is a confirmation of the statement of Paul, for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He come - [As "often" as - every Sunday is often indeed].
